Life Lately

Half way through September and it's feeling like Fall!  

We are finally in a great routine, and busy as can be.  Cora started swimming and Daisies and is loving both of them so far.  Sonoma is still going strong in gymnastics, and continues to tell us after every practice how much she loves it and never wants to quit.  We are so happy she is happy.  Both Sonoma and Cora started an after school Science Club together once a week, and they really enjoyed their 1st meeting this week.  Sonoma told us she wanted to do an activity every day after school, but Marcus and I stand by in our decision to have at least one day a week with nothing going on!  

Marcus and I had a wonderful one night get away in Chicago last week.  It was the 1st time we had been together for an overnight trip since I was pregnant with Blakesely.  We went back for the Windy City Wine Festival, and stayed in the brand new Gray Hotel in Chicago.  It was incredible and the event was beautiful.  It was strange for Marcus to be at a wine festival as a spectator.  

We missed you, Chicago

Marcus' brother and his wife were in Chicago for the Notre Dame - Georgia Football game and we were able to spend time together, just the 4 of us.  It was so much fun!

We did lunch at Steadfast and then had drinks at Volume 39 at the Gray Hotel

We had such a fun evening with VIP treatment :)   After the Wine Festival we went to Cindy's Rooftop as well as Boleo.  Wonderful memories.  

My Sister picked up Sonoma from gymanstics and took her to her team pizza party.

My Mom sent me these pictures of Blakesley after her nap.  She is still waking up and pulling her arm out of her clothes every day!  

We came home from Chicago on Saturday, said hello to the girls, and then headed to downtown Indianapolis to the Colts Kick-off Concert.  It was presented by Budlight and again we had VIP treatment.  It was a wonderful event and we had a great time enjoying the concerts, especially Clayton Anderson.  

Sunday was family lunch and grocery shopping:

We decided it was time to dress up B like a princess

Cora went to school on Monday for white day and came home looking like Pig Pen from the Peanuts.  She was green and brown and the filthiest I have ever seen her.  She got in the sandbox at recess (WHY do they have a sandbox on the kindergarten playground??)  

I tore open what I thought was another Amazon box, to be completely surprised that I had received a Tiffany's box from my amazing team leader and friend, Deanna.  I received beautiful Riedel Tiffany's wine glasses for my recent qualifications for a trip to wine county.  Love my job and all the little extras that go along with it.

Every day this week has been perfect Fall weather.  I did my first run on the Monon since moving back with my friend Stephanie and our babies.  

No shirt!  

Since we actually had nothing going on today after school ( not often does this happen!) we decided to surprise the girls.  We took them out for pizza at Noble Roman's and back home for a family movie night.  We rented Diary of a Wimpy Kid Road - Long Haul Road Trip and we laughed out loud the entire evening.  It was really fun and special.  These are the days I will some day miss.
