Happy 1st Day of School! Today marks Sonoma's THIRD year of PDO School! She was as confident and excited as ever as she went back to school today. So proud of this girl!
And Cora had an exciting day herself....Today was Cora's 1st Gymboree class! I really wanted to take her to My Gym, but the classes for her age group didn't line up with Sonoma's school schedule. However, we had a good experience at Gymboree, so I have signed her up for classes there this fall. Sonoma's old PDO started at age 1, but with our new school, we now have to wait until Cora is 2 and will send her next year.
I was really excited to do something one on one with Cora. I've felt bad I haven't had the opportunity to do as many activities as I already had done with Sonoma when she was her age. This is a great start for us!
In addition to Sonoma's school and Cora's Gymboree class, both of the girls start swimming this week, and Sonoma started gymnastics again 2 weeks ago. We are VERY excited for our new fall schedule!
We said goodbye to summer this weekend while celebrating Labor Day. It was our first "free" weekend in quite a while so we tried to do as much as we could outside when it wasn't raining. Our attempt at the 1st High School Football game of the season didn't turn out so great, as we got stuck inside the school's gym during a big storm.
We tried the whole sporting event thing again on Sunday, and took the whole family to our 1st MLS game to watch the Chicago Fire. I've been to a ton of stadiums, and a ton of suites, and this was by far, one of my best experiences! We had a BLAST!
| Sonoma met Sparky, and both the girls were given jerseys & little Sparky dogs |
We got ice cream last night, the night before the 1st day of school - a tradition that my parents started with me years and years ago:
