CORA:
Cora is getting more adventurous in her Gymboree class, but she's still not a big fan of swimming lessons yet. Our plan for next week is to have ME in the pool with her, hoping that may calm her down a bit since she is always crying and reaching for me (even though today I left the pool and worked out in the gym)

And yes, she keeps headbands on. Amazing, I know. BUT, when your big Sissy is always wearing a crown or headband, you just think that is how things are supposed to be ;
|
Cora is still not walking - she has taken up to 4-5 steps on her own, and then falls to the ground. Lots of attempts, but she hasn't taken off too far quite yet. And for those who are always asking, no, we still don't have any teeth! Crazy, I know, but she still manages to eat everything I make.
Cora still loves her sleep - about 13 hours at night and two good naps a day. Bottles were no problem getting rid of, right after she turned 1, and she takes whole milk just fine.
Cora is a little fireball; such a silly, little baby. She is always doing the funniest things to make us constantly laugh. Whether it's swinging her head in circles and dancing, or putting stuff on top of her head, she is always doing something silly.

SONOMA:
Sonoma continues to amaze me all the time. The questions she can come up with on a daily basis just blow my mind sometimes! She doesn't miss a beat, and she is constantly asking us good (and some ridiculously funny) questions. Sonoma said to me a few weeks ago as she noticed a full moon:
"Mommy, sometime can you take me in that space thing and count to 1 and blast off to the moon with me?? And then we can land and put down a flag?" That was such a cute moment I will always remember!

Pa bought Sonoma her very own Ukulele!
Sonoma is loving her PDO school twice a week, and is also really excelling at Gymnastics. I only have 5 more weeks that I get to be with her in the Parent-Tot Gymnastics, until she is in the Preschool class on her own. So, I'm really trying to make each week count with her. I like being able to watch and help her with everything, but her coach already told her she is definitely ready for Preschool. Sonoma is EXTREMELY excited to advance to the next level and has her own little countdown going on. She is also enjoying her swimming lessons all by herself. She really thrives on a schedule, and likes to know every day what our plans are, and what errands we are running. DEFINITELY still a strong-willed child ;)

ALWAYS playing dress-up. Loving anything in Mommy's closet, and any princess costume. She is such a girly-girl!

HOUSE:
We've had a few house projects going on. First off, we had T come visit and spend a few days with us last week. We were so happy to have him up to see the girls but also to help out in our yard. He did so much planting for us, as well as mulching and we are all very grateful.

Note the crown Miss Cora is wearing ;)
We also decided to have a runner put in for our front staircase since the wood steps were so slippery. After Dixie had a couple of falls, we decided it was time. We were so happy with the completed project:
FAMILY:
We went to the zoo yesterday, and it was the perfect fall day for it! We went to the zoo this time for two specific things: Dolphin Show & Monkey House. Sonoma is finally learning that our zoo is so big that we just can't do it all in one trip!

My new camera is working great! :)

Sonoma is such a little Mommy to Cora. I love it!
This weekend was perfect for a family trip to Oberweis! Of course, Sonoma fed Cora her ice cream ( and shared her whole cup with her. It was SO sweet )
