We spent 8 days in Oostburg, Wisconsin vacationing on Lake Michigan with Marcus' parents this past week. It was truly a beautiful spot! We vacationed last summer in the same town, but stayed in a different cabin this year. The beaches are very private, and wonderful for playing in the sand and the lake. The girls had a BLAST! Marcus' parents were very generous to take us all on a week long trip and I'm thankful the girls are left with many special, fun memories!

The girls, Marcus and T spent their week building the biggest sand forts with moats that they possibly could! We sort of started some competition on the beach among some other people! ;)
The weather was the complete opposite of the heat wave last July. We were prepared and brought along jackets and jeans. We went into town two of the coldest days and had some fun activities planned. First we visited a strawberry patch and picked fresh berries for the week! Next we went to a cheese factory and loved eating the fresh cheese curds straight off the line. They even squeak when you eat them on the first day!

We also visited Bookworm Gardens, a botanical garden that had scenes and displays from some of the most popular childhood books! It was so fun to see some of my favorite childhood books brought to life among the displays and flowers set up. Such a cool place!
