We had such a beautiful, fall weekend and we were happy to all be home together. After I had been out of town the previous two weekends, and Marcus was out of town a few days last week, we were ready to be home.
Sonoma caught her first butterfly on Thursday! She had been trying ALL summer and finally caught one using both of her butterfly nets. Sonoma also received her very 1st homework assignment this week!
Sonoma is so sweet and pushes Cora in her swing all the time.
Friday was another hot, beautiful fall day so I took the girls to Blackberry Farm and we met our friends the Palmers.
As soon as Daddy walked in the door we were eating Persimmon Pudding (side note *it was my grandmother's recipe, and the persimmons were from her tree in Indiana and it was SO delicous*) and he grabbed the can of whipped cream and squirted it into the girls' mouths. Needless to say, they were so happy Daddy was home and that is something that ONLY Daddy does!
Marcus and I enjoyed a nice date night at Stonebridge:
And here were a few pictures from Marcus' trip to Kohler. He golfed at Whistling Straits and boy was it beautiful! Some of his pictures didn't even look real!
We had a great morning at the downtown Aurora Farmer's Market on Saturday. It was nice to finally have a family outing all together :)
And, Marcus took Sonoma to the movies to see "Dolphin Tale 2" this afternoon, as she had earned all 5 of her stars for her special chart. I was secretly wanting to go to the movie with her all week, but when it came time to go she said she just really wanted her Daddy to take her :-/ At least they were nice enough to bring me back some popcorn :)
We are ending the beautiful weekend with a family cookout outside! Here's to a wonderful month of September as it comes to an end!
