February is Here!

February has come and we have welcomed it with open arms!  Though it is still insanely cold out, at least it is a shorter month and Spring will be coming hopefully sooner rather than later ( Well, at least according to Mr. Groundhog!)

What have we been up to??  Check it out:

Pajama Day at PDO for Cora!

Usually I walk into Cora's room and find all the lights off  and her bed full of animals sleeping or all the babies tucked in and sleeping around the floor.  It's so cute.

I love volunteering in Sonoma's class.  This was for the 100th Day of School which is a HUGE deal now a days!

Sonoma signed up for a Cheerleading camp through the High School and she was counting down the days for weeks leading up to it.  She has ALWAYS expressed a ton of interest in cheerleading.  Since it has changed so much since my days of cheer, I've encouraged her to stick with gymnastics for now and transition to cheer later on if she wants.  After seeing how quickly she picked up stunts, jumps and motions, I have no doubt in my mind she could do cheerleading down the road and avoid some of the crazy commitment that cheer would entail right now.

I walked in to pick her up from practice and she was up in a lib!  Fearless!

Cora has mastered the art of 48 piece puzzles

My parents decided to come in town for a quick trip to watch Sonoma perform her cheerleading at the High School Basketball game!  It was SO special that they made the trip just to see her!  I am sure it brought back lots of memories of them watching me and my sister cheer!

She quickly made friends with all the HS cheerleaders

Routine time!

I was SO proud of Sonoma!

After the game the girls wanted to know if they could do some more stunts with her!

Mimi and Pa gave Sonoma a wardrobe for all of her American Girl clothes and accessories.  It was a perfect gift!

Last Saturday night was the annual Daddy Daughter Dance at Sonoma's elementary school.  The theme was 70's.  Marcus decided last minute to not participate after learning about quite a lot of other Dads dressing up like normal.  They were very excited to attend their 1st dance together!

Cora and I had a special night in watching her new Care Bear movie that she got from Mimi & Pa for Valentine's Day!

Dancing the night away with her best friend, Alexa

Marcus said they had a lot of fun, but Sonoma really just ran around with her friends the whole time.  Sadly, he did not get a dance with his daughter.  Maybe next year??

Couldn't have asked for a better SUPERBOWL WIN on Sunday!!!  Yeah, Peyton!

Marcus and I went to a fun Super Bowl party at our neighbors' house that was a Superbowl AND a Mardi Gras theme party.  We had a great time out and the girls enjoyed staying in with their babysitter.

This is usually what after dinner looks like.  The girls climb on top of Daddy and they ride around the house.

Volunteering again at school

Cora had a great week of Valentine's Parties at PDO!

This is what a Tuesday night looks like for Cora.  Patiently waiting during 2 hour gymnastics practices.

Cora and I set up a bath station for all the stuffed animals that can not go into the washing machine.  It was long over due.  I washed and Cora dried.  It took all day but was worth it!  Perhaps you could say I am doing some early nesting.

Just 1 of the 4 drying stations

I walked upstairs to find Sonoma reading to Cora

This was last week at 14 weeks

Just a sweet picture that Sonoma texted me.

Sonoma's feet grew almost 2 sizes as she had a major growth spurt!  We enjoyed a fun shopping trip for shoes and clothes a couple of weeks ago!
