1st Trimester

I wish I could say the 1st trimester flew by with pregnancy #3, but unfortunately that was not the case.  In fact, it was quite the opposite.  First of all, there were the normal pregnancy symptoms for me:  extreme tiredness ( napping almost every day and in bed as soon as I got the girls down ), extreme nausea, especially on long road trips when I was the passenger, and tons of food aversions and cravings.  Nothing hardly ever sounded good on a regular basis, and then I would get an intense craving and would start getting nauseous again from being so hungry.  The girls started picking up on these little signs, especially Sonoma.  She wondered why I stopped drinking coffee ( MAJOR aversion.  Sad, I know.  But, I swear, if you were to offer me $100 to drink my favorite latte, I would tell you NO), and she asked why I was always so tired and laying around.  Oh, and she also noticed times Daddy drinking wine when I wasn't.  She doesn't miss a beat!  After the holiday craziness
( which btw is super hard being pregnant through all three holidays and keeping it secret!) I was getting by, but mid January was when things took a turn for the worst and the same thing that happened with Cora, unfortunately happened this time.  My uterus blocked my bladder, I was unable to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and had to drive myself to the hospital.  I had to get a catheter put in, come home with a catheter, was not really able to move at all, got an infection, and finally went back to my OB bracing myself for the manual procedure to move my uterus.  I knew it would be an awful, painful procedure, but when the Doctor was ready to start, she noticed that my uterus moved on its own! Thank God!  I am in the clear now, and the infection is gone, and the catheter is out.  However, I am on pins and needles for two more weeks.  At 16 weeks there really isn't any chance that my uterus could fall back again.  So, until then, we pray and continue to be positive! I can't do any heavy lifting or working out aside from walking, so I am trying to take it easy.

Moving along to some 1st trimester pics to document this journey that as a family,  we are all SO excited to be on together!

We told the girls at 10 weeks along, which was SUCH a hard secret to keep!  We decided to give them a card with pics of my most recent ultrasound.  They were confused at first, but once they figured it out, they started squealing with joy and jumping around screaming!!!  It was so amazing! Oh, and they already started begging for the baby to be a girl.

1st three month pics:

It's crazy how much faster you start showing with your 3rd baby!

I've been cleared to start going to the the Doctor every two weeks now, so at least I won't be at the Doctor as often right now.  Any positive prayers or thoughts are appreciated! My due date is August 4th but if all the stars align and it works out, we are hoping for an end of July baby!  Both of the girls came early, and we already have two birthdays in August ( me and Cora)  ;)  We shall see!

Huge shout outs to:  **My Mom for driving up after I came home from the hospital since Marcus couldn't take off work.  I am so grateful for a Mom who is always there for me.  She came up to help out, brought all my favorite treats and goodies, and took care of the girls.

**Marcus for stepping up and helping out so much with driving the girls around, packing lunches, grocery shopping, cleaning and picking up some of my favorite cravings at random times  ( cokes and sweet n sour filled twizzlers are the latest!) HA!  Love you!

Here's to hoping for a smooth and easy 2nd trimester!
