Sonoma: Gymnastics!

Sonoma had her last two regular season gymnastics meets back to back weekends.  Last week we were in Ft. Wayne at the Walk of Fame Classic and this weekend we were in French Lick at Jaycie Phelps' Midwest Showdown.  We are so proud of all her hard work, determination, courage and execution!  She has set some big goals for herself and it is so fun to watch her compete!  She is so poised and gets more and more confident looking each meet!  She absolutely loves gymnastics, never complains, and looks forward to practices and meets.  Gymnastics is her passion right now and I love watching all that she has accomplished so far.

The Ft. Wayne meet was her best meet to date.  She scored a 35.0 all around ( you need a 32.0 ) to qualify for the State meet.  She got 6th place on Beam, 7th place on Vault and 8th Place All Around.

One of the parents sent me this picture he took of Cora at the Awards Ceremony.  Gymnastics meets are LONG sporting events!  4.5 hours usually.

My Mom and Sister came to the French Lick meet and brought a surprise visitor with them:  my cousin Christy!  It was so fun having her there to support Sonoma and surprise us!

This was Blakelsey's first gymnastics meet this year.  It was a very long, no-nap day and night for her.

DeVeau's got 1st place in the French Lick meet!!  Sonoma got a 34.15 All Around score.  Not quite as high as Ft. Wayne, but this was a very tough meet.
