Happy 22 Months!

???!!! I know, I can hardly believe it.  How is Sonoma going to be TWO years old in exactly two months from today?  Good thing I have another baby on the way because I hate how fast they grow up.  Don't get me wrong, every stage is so much fun and amazing to watch, but I miss that snuggly little newborn of mine.  Sonoma slept in this morning and woke up in the best mood.  We realized it was 56 and sunny outside, so we quickly got ready and spent the day shopping at our favorite outdoor mall, Oakbrook.

I took Sonoma to get her feet re-measured and sure enough she has grown in the past few months.  She went up almost 2 whole sizes.  I couldn't believe it!  I wish I had an excuse to buy a few new pairs of shoes every couple of months ;)

After some spring jacket and shoe shopping, I decided to give her a little 22 month birthday gift.  She has suddenly been really in to playing dress up and wanting to try on skirts and tutus.  I bought her a few dress up tutus and dresses and tiaras.  She has had the best time playing dress up all night.  She even made Daddy play too.   If I posted pictures he would surely kill me, so I will let you just imagine Marcus with a tiara on his head :)

Cute things Sonoma is doing lately:

-Asking everyone if they are happy.  She is very concerned at all hours of the day if we are happy.  She will ask, "Mommy, happy??"  "Daddy, happy??"  "Dixie, happy??"

-Being over affectionate.  Even her PDO instructors told me she gives everyone hugs and kisses.  No wonder this kid had a runny nose all winter!  Sonoma is always wanting to give me and Marcus simultaneous hugs and kisses.  Usually when we are all eating at the dinner table.  How could we ever resist affection like that though??

-She is talking all the time.  Getting a lot better about putting words together. We have to be very careful about what we say around her.  She listens very well and usually knows what we are talking about most of the time.

-Tonight at dinner we gave her some special treats.  We witnessed her biting front teeth first into part of an ice cream sandwich and getting an AWFUL brain freeze.  It was the saddest/cutest thing ever.
