We had such a lovely Easter weekend. We kicked off the festivities with coloring Easter eggs at home on Friday night.
On Saturday, Sonoma met a few of her friends at Heritage Prairie Farms for their Easter Egg hunt and to see lots of baby animals. It was a gorgeous day! The egg hunt was very competitive, but Sonoma managed to find two eggs!

On Sunday morning when we woke up Sonoma, the first thing she said to us was "Happy Easter!" She continued to say it all day and truly had a wonderful Easter morning. She read her little Easter bible story the night before and she woke up very excited. I think she actually understood a little bit about the holiday this year. She hunted for her basket and was very happy that the Easter Bunny visited her!

Chris, Christin and Griffin came over for Easter brunch and we had such a nice time with them. Neither of us have any family in the Chicago area, so we are lucky to have found such good friends to celebrate with.

We ended the day with a run for Marcus and Sonoma and a walk for me and Dixie. What a great holiday weekend!
