Visit from the Ertels

Our dear friends, the Ertels, drove up to Chicago yesterday morning to spend the day and night with us in our new home.  We were so happy they made the trip (with a toddler and a baby! ) all the way up here to visit us.  We are so thankful to have such wonderful friends that we have been close to for almost 6 years now.  We were thrilled to see how great Riley and Sonoma played together and got along.  They were perfect playmates and wore each other out!

We let the kids play together for a few hours before we had dinner and then played some more.  It was a very low-key day and evening, but we all had a really great time together.

The Ertels left today, and Sonoma finally had a swimming lesson again.  We sure did miss swimming the past two weeks with Spring Break followed by Easter.  Sonoma is napping this afternoon and Daddy is painting the baby's nursery! The color is Lilac and I'm so excited, I can hardly wait to get the nursery finished.  We have tons to do after painting, but I'm confident we will get it done in the next couple of months.  Our next project is to order furniture, bedding and decor.
