Cora is 8 Months!

Time is flying by and Cora continues to grow like a weed!  Today is her 8 month birthday and I couldn't  believe it.  I even had to count the months to be sure I was right!

I can't get enough of her little baby fat.  Way too cute and pinchable

Here's what Cora has been up to lately:

-She loves her sleep.  She is sleeping over 13 hours a night.  If she is not in bed by 5:45 or 6:00 pm, she gets mad and doesn't get as good of a night's sleep.  If she is down by 6:00 pm, then she will sleep in until 7:00 or 7:30 am.  I know, it's crazy, but I am definitely not complaining. She doesn't make a peep all night.  She is also still napping three, good naps a day.  I was hoping to drop her middle nap, but it doesn't look like that is happening anytime soon.

-This girl loves to eat.  I started giving her lunch almost a month ago, and she gobbles up pretty much anything I feed her.  We are still working our way through the rest of the fruits and vegetables I want her to try.  I've been making most of her baby food, and it's a lot of work, but definitely worth it.  It also challenges me to be creative with the meals I make for us to eat, so I'm cooking all of us the same stuff for the most part.

-Favorite foods:  yogurt, peas, broccoli, avocados, corn & apples

-Lovie:  Coffee the mouse.  Yes, Coffee has made a re-appearance in our house.  Sonoma found him at the bottom of her toy basket and decided he was too babyish for her, and she gave him to Cora.  She did this all on her own and I was so proud of her.  Cora sleeps with Coffee every single night and nap and snuggles him hard.

-Cora is still scooting and rolling, and rocks back and forth on her knees all the time.  I have a hundred little video snippets of her just rocking on her knees, as I anticipate the first real crawl.

-Cora takes two bottles a day, but still prefers nursing.  I nurse her in the morning when she wakes up, and at night before bed.  She is, however, holding her own bottle now when she's not fooling around and playing with it!

-I try to put her in the shopping cart and facing forward in the stroller when we are out, but she is at such a hard transitional stage.  She still falls asleep a lot in her carrier/carseat, since I am always waking her up from her naps, or having her skip a nap to take Sonoma to one of her activities or playdates.  So, I continue to lug the carrier around and get my arm workout in.

-Cora wants any and every thing that she sees with her eyes!  And every time you take something away that she grabs, she cries and screams.  She's starting to get a little fiesty and very curious.

I'm excited to see what this next month brings.  We love you, Cora!
