The Wizard of Oz

Sonoma's preschool had a big end of the year play last week:  The Wizard of Oz.  Sonoma was the Wicked Witch of the West and had been practicing her lines for almost a month!  It was amazing to see how far the kids had all come since their other musical performances at the beginning of the school year.  Sonoma nailed her lines and made everyone laugh when she was "melting."

Mimi surprised Sonoma and bought her the Wicked Witch costume since I was having trouble finding even a hat somewhere!  I'm thinking it will be a perfect Halloween costume for one of the girls!  :)

After the play we went out to dinner to celebrate and Sonoma was so excited to wear her costume to dinner.  She got stopped by a lot of people and she was loving the attention :)

I was so proud of Sonoma!!! We let her watch the Wizard of Oz movie right after her 5th birthday.  She had been asking for a long time to watch it, and I was worried she may be scared.  However, she loved it and wasn't scared at all! I'm glad I let her watch it so she knew what the play was all about!  After the play the kids all received their preschool diplomas.  Just one more day of Preschool for Sonoma....ever!

A clip of Sonoma's lines from the play.

And a clip from one of the songs
