This past weekend was a busy one! Marcus was working his event, The Chicago Ale Festival, and I was happy to be able to get downtown to see his hard work!
| It truly was a beautiful event, right on Lake Michigan at Buckingham Fountain |
| At night when the fountain lit up it was gorgeous! My friend, Amanda, and I went to Ale Fest together on Friday night. It felt like a freezing cold fall evening. Chicago summer, where are you?!? |
Sonoma finished up her Track & Field camp last week. She had a fun time and was sad to see it end on Friday! Cora spent every day in the gym daycare and I was able to run and workout while also watching Sonoma's camp.
| I had to get my phone fixed when Sonoma was at gymnastics and here is my little tag along. Sometimes she can be so good :) |
| The girls LOVE Shopkins and I am starting to love them too! Such a fun collection! |
Father's Day was great, especially since Marcus had just wrapped up Ale Fest and finally had some free time to be at home.
| I can't get this picture to rotate, but aren't these the most ADORABLE Father's Day gifts the girls made for Marcus?? They made them in school at PDO and we have been saving them since!! |
| HAPPY FATHER'S DAY MARCUS!!!!! THESE GIRLS LOVE YOU SO MUCH! |
Our day started out with a long family run to say goodbye to our first pet fish, Dorothy. Dorothy died on Friday, but we had a sitter all day, so I didn't mention it until Marcus came home Saturday. Sonoma wanted to take Dorothy to the pond with the other fish, so he could swim to heaven. So sweet.
| Daddy threw Dorothy in the pond |
| We ate lunch outside since Sunday was FINALLY a nice day. The girls insisted on eating in their playhouse |
We checked "sprinkler" off of our summer bucket list! The girls spent the afternoon running through the sprinkler and playing with the water toys.
| After celebrating Daddy at dinner, we went to the pet store and bought a NEW fish. The girls named him....MICHAEL! They have an inside joke about a boy named Michael who went to their PDO, and every time they hear the name, the crack up laughing. It is so sweet and funny. |
| Welcome home, Michael! What a great end to the weekend! |
