August Randoms

And just like that, August is over!  Welcome, September! Here are some random pictures from the month of August:

We spent a morning at Blackberry Farm with the Greens.  It was Blakesley's first time and it was a HOT day!  Not crowded at all though!

Cora loves going to the old 1800's schoolhouse

Marcus spent a week in Indianapolis preparing for and putting on the inaugural Indianapolis Wine Festival.  While I was sad to miss this event which took place on our old stomping grounds, I was really proud of all he did!  Friday night was a huge disappointment, with massive storms, rain and flooding taking over the whole city.  They were forced to cancel the event on Friday night shortly after opening the gates.  Miraculously, the weather cleared up for Saturday just in time to have a great event Saturday evening.

Marcus woke up early on Saturday and went on Channel 13 NBC live to spread the word about the festival still happening on Saturday night, even though it was set to rain.  He thought it would be funny to wear a poncho and convince everyone to come drink wine regardless of the weather!  I was really proud of him.

Cora started gymnastics two weeks ago.  I was going to hold off on any more commitments right now, but Cora really, really wanted to go back and do gymnastics just like big Sissy.  So, now, I am at the gym 4 days a week, but that's okay :)

Special dinner date with Sonoma and Blakesley one night while Cora was with a sitter.  Marcus and I attended parent curriculum night at Cora's new Preschool and then picked up Sonoma from practice.

Last week I found Sonoma online modeling a hooded towel for the new Disney Princess, Princess Elena.  She loved doing this shoot last month and was excited for me to see the finished product since I wasn't able to take her.

Sonoma would sit and hold Blakesley all day if we let her.

Cora loves playing with Blakesley and particularly touching her :)

Cora's been cooking in her kitchen a LOT lately.  Definitely way more than me!
Oh, and I caught Cora nursing her baby the other day!

Sonoma lost her FIFTH tooth!  Grandma pulled it out!  Hooray!

A special $5 bill for 5 teeth lost!

My sweet friend and Rodan + Fields teammate, Amanda, had her big Lexus celebration in Des Moines, IA last week.  I was super bummed I wasn't able to make it there, but I was celebrating at home.  I am SO proud of Amanda and all of her leadership.  She's helped me and inspired me to get to the level I'm at today with the company, and I cannot wait to go on #LindysLexusRun in the near future!  I am loving the flexibility with my job right now while I have been able to spend a lot more time and focus on Blakesley the past month.  BIG things happening here the next few months though and I cannot wait!
