Every February we have a 4 day weekend over President's Day and usually it is cold & dreary - typical Chicago weather. However, this year was completely different. It was like a beautiful late Spring/early Summer weekend! The weather was even better than the Summer because there was no humidity and no bugs. Beautiful, blue skies and sunshine. We kicked off the weekend as usual with late gymnastics practice for Sonoma on Friday night, followed by early morning Saturday practice for Cora.
After gymnastics on Saturday we went on our first family run of the new year around the neighborhood. It was gorgeous. Sonoma rode her bike, and we pushed Cora and Blakesley in the double stroller.

| 3 girls on 3 swings. I love this view in my backyard! |
| Sonoma went to a unicorn birthday party. |
| We took the girls shoe shopping after realizing everyone was in way too small of shoes. Almost 7 years later, you would think I would have the constant growing feet thing down pat, but I always forget to get them sized for new shoes at the right time! |
| Marcus and I had a sitter on Saturday night and enjoyed a night out at Hardware, and then on Sunday night we all enjoyed a family night out at the Turf Room ( thanks to my friend Jamie and the sweet gift card she gave our family! ) |
| We worked on goody bags for Cora's half birthday celebration at Preschool ( darn Summer birthdays! ) The girls and I are obsessed with the new Mario Run app on our iPad. It is just like the Mario games I grew up playing on Super Nintendo. Cora loves all things Mario related right now. |
| We spent Monday at the Arboretum with the Palmers. Us and every other Mom and kid in the Chicago area. It was crazy busy. |
| Picnic time! |
| Sonoma got her right ear RE-pierced. Poor girl. The first time last year, her right ear was pierced way too low and uneven. We let it grow back in for 5 months and now she has both of her ears pierced again and she is a happy girl! |
| Blakesley looks so old in this picture. She continues to play with food every night but not really eat any of it..... |
We took the girls to the American Girl store for a special trip as their Valentine's present. We brought in all the girls to the hair salon ( my dolls from 20+ years ago were in desperate need of some hair help! )
| Claire got a baby bath! And the older girls got some spa time as well and got cleaned up real good. |
| Our real life baby happy as can be |
| Lunch time! |
| My doll, Felicity, is being brought back from the archives and getting re-launched. I love that my parents bought me these dolls and furniture and saved everything for my girls! So special. |
| My very first AG :) |
| We loved the new Wellie Wisher room. |
| My dolls Samantha and Kirsten, still going strong. |
| Cora picked out a beautiful new dress for Claire. |
| Sonoma picked out the Wellie Wisher rain boots and socks to match her doll. Good choice since her rain boots didn't fit anymore! |
Such a special trip with all 3 of my girls.
