Life Lately

Life lately.  March.  It's hard to believe that Spring is this month ( as I am staring at snow coming down out my window ).  On one hand I am relieved that Winter will be coming to an end, and on another hand, I am sad that my Dad is not here for Spring.  Every day is tough, but as always, I gotta keep on keepin' on for my girls.  Last week the girls and I were busy with modeling gigs and auditions and I couldn't be more proud of them or love my life with them any more.

Lunch break between modeling gigs.  These models eat tacos ;)

Lugging my Double Bob around and three bags of outfits and diapers.

Sonoma rocked her auditions, while Cora rocked her shoot.  Look for Cora this Fall on a box of a big dinosaur floor puzzle by Learning Resources :)

This picture was a real life moment captured.  We had to bring the WHOLE family to Toyota to get my new car after our babysitter got sick on us.  Flaming Hot Cheetos that were begged for from a vending machine all over everything, a dead iPad, water spillage, a bloody noise, a crying baby and piles of paperwork.

BUT, four hours later I got this shiny new minivan!  #ilovemyminivan

I spent one morning this week volunteering in Sonoma's class

Take your baby to work day!  Matching outfits!

Usually I am annoyed by my Facebook ads, but when I came across this one, I almost spit my coffee out!  There's my daughter!  This was from Cora's Radio Flyer shoot back in July.  She is suppose to be on packaging for this toy and possibly a wagon too.  Be on the look out at the store!

Cora asked me to take a picture of her and her babies

I have received the sweetest gifts from friends and family, but this one took my breath away.  My best friend, Erin, sent me this beautiful rose gold necklace with my Dad's handwriting on one side and a picture of an eagle on the other. My Dad's handwriting was so distinct, so this was extra special to me.  It has quickly become one of my favorite things.  I love it so much!

Our family has really been focused on living a healthier lifestyle.  We started following a pescatarian diet at the beginning of the new year.  We both feel so much better and healthier and honestly don't even miss meat that much.  We are LOVING our vegetarian Hello Fresh boxes we get weekly, which account for 3 of our meals.  We are saving money, eating healthier, it's less menu planning for me, and we aren't wasting food.  Plus, I have learned that bodies are truly made in the kitchen!  We love eating healthy.  I also started working out with a personal trainer who is really challenging me, and is the best trainer I've ever had ( and I've had a LOT ).  I'm determined to lose the last of the baby weight (8 lbs to go! ) and tone up so I can feel like myself again and get stronger.  My Sister said it best in one of her fitness blog posts....something along the lines of, when something feels hard or challenging, she thinks back to January 3rd when we found out our Dad unexpectedly passed away.  Then, nothing seems so hard anymore.  We have felt hard.....we have felt the worst pain of our lives when we got that phone call. It's been my motivation for moving forward and living a healthy lifestyle like my Dad did.

Speaking of my Dad, I just received a book in the mail I designed via Shutterfly, with pictures of my Dad throughout his life.  It sure is special and the girls have really enjoyed looking through it.  I also completed all of our memory boxes....one for each girl and one for myself - full of pictures, articles and things about my Dad.  It felt nice to get organized, and I put a lot of his notes I found in his phone into a binder along with letters and emails and condolences and stories from all sorts of people.  My Dad would be proud that I organized all of this stuff.

I can't believe tomorrow is Friday.  Big gymnastics meet this weekend for Sonoma, gymnastics practice for Cora, multiple birthday parties and play dates - a busy, typical weekend for the Fischers.
