Spring Break 2017

It's been a very low key Spring Break.  Sonoma and Cora spent 4 days in Indiana while Marcus, Blakesley and I hung back in Chicago.  On Saturday morning we met Marcus' parents halfway at Fair Oaks Farm, had lunch and then dropped off Sonoma and Cora.  The big girls had a great time with Grandma and T for two nights!  Then, they spent one night with Mimi and had a lot of fun there too.

For Christmas, Grandma and T adopted cats from the Wildlife Feline Rescue Center in Indiana for Sonoma and Cora.  The girls have had pictures hanging up of their cats, but it wasn't until last weekend they got to meet their cats, Jenny and Kisa, in person!

After visiting the rescue center, they had lunch and milkshakes at an old fashioned soda shop!

The weather wasn't great, but they did manage some good outside time.

Feeding the cat fish!

Playing at Mimi's!

Sonoma found my old Shel Silverstein book!

Marcus and I forgot how quiet (and easy!) it was to have just one little baby.  We had a fun date night out at Wildfire and Top Golf while Blakesley had a babysitter.  We also worked out, had some meetings and appointments and went out to lunch together.

Lunch at Hugo's!

Lots of quiet snuggle time

Spring Break always falls during the McDonald's All American Basketball games, one of Marcus' events.  Usually I go downtown with him, but did not this year because of Blakesley.

Grandma and T brought Sonoma and Cora all the way back home and then stayed and visited for two nights.  We had fun at the Turf Room for dinner, swimming at their hotel, baking Easter cookies, playing, and they were able to watch Sonoma's gymnastics practice.

The girls are relaxing together today, and then Cora has a modeling job in the city tomorrow, followed by a gymnastics meet for Sonoma this weekend.  Happy Spring!
