Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning

We hosted a Christmas Eve Party at our house for my side of the family.  The girls were super excited to have everyone over and help get things ready for the night!

We had a White Christmas!

Instead of your typical White Elephant, the adults all played a dice game for our gift exchange.  Everyone brought two presents and we rolled dice and had little playing cards for what to do with our gifts.  It was a lot of fun!

We had a giant snowball fight in the basement with snowballs Mimi brought!

After everyone left, the girls ran outside and sprinkled reindeer food ( oats with glitter ) that each of their teachers had given them!  It was perfect since we had fresh snow!

We found a bunch of sheet music from Christmas that my Dad had made for us with numbers to read to make it easier to play.

Sonoma's door ( and floor! ) was covered in post-it notes to Santa with tons of questions!

Love taking the annual picture on our stairs! This was our first stair picture on Christmas morning in our new house!

We were so happy that Mimi stayed overnight with us on Christmas Eve.  It was so special having her there on Christmas morning!

Blakesley didn't wake up until 8:30!  Sonoma woke at 1:45 AM, but we got her back to sleep.  Then, Cora woke up at 7 and woke Sonoma up.  We figured that B would sleep in! She always does!

My Mom got all the grandkids bald eagle stuffed animals in memory of Pa.  It was really special and the girls have been sleeping with them every night.

Christmas sure was different this year, but it was also very nice and the girls had fun.
