Thanksgiving 2017

The holidays are officially upon us, and Thanksgiving already feels like a long time ago.  Just a little over a week ago, we made the short drive ( 1.5 hours ) to Bloomington for Thanksgiving at Marcus' parents' house.  They invited my Sister and her family, as well as my Mom over, and that was really nice and special.  It is such a hard year for us without Dad here for the holidays, so it was great to have all of us together.

This year, I am obsessively grateful for my three beautiful daughters.  They bring me so much joy when I need it the most.  They all have lovely souls and I am so blessed to be their Mommy!

Thanksgiving.  Family.

It wouldn't be a road trip without a messy minivan and lots of coffee.

Guess the babies!  These pictures are on display in my in-laws' wine cellar and all 3 of the girls are wearing the same onesie around the same age.

The girls are really into Connect Four

Jake was given the job of cutting the turkey this year.  His first time!

While Marcus and I skipped the turkey, we enjoyed plenty of bountiful side dishes, dessert and wine

The weather couldn't have been any better for the holiday weekend!

Great Grandpa had knee replacement surgery, so we went to visit him while he is in rehab.

We also visited Dad's grave for the first time since it has been set.  Cora is making a heart with her hands.

Since we were in Bloomington, we continued on with the tradition of the Bloomington lighting on the square on Friday:

This was one of Dad's favorite traditions and it was so sad being there without him.

After the lighting, Marcus and I went out with Erin and Peter who were in town from Chicago. We went on a double date and Erin and I relived our glory days at IU.

Fun with friends.  Love being back in Btown.
