The Week Before Christmas

6 days!  6!!  I swear, I thought we had about 10 days left!  This is one of the most stressful, magical, exciting weeks for Moms, and I'm feeling all sorts of mixed emotions right now.  I still have quite a lot to do, but I'm really hoping for some special moments with my girls this week.  I just want to take it all in and try to relax a little.  I'm also really missing my Dad right now.   Last week was exactly one year since the last time I saw my Dad in person.  It was at my parents' house to celebrate Christmas.  This was our last family picture together:

I have thought about my Dad so much this Christmas season.  So many of the things I love and the traditions I have in place are all because of my Dad.

Sonoma's 1st Christmas.  She reminds me of Blakesley here.

Cora wrote a letter to Santa using an app.  This broke my hear, but was so sweet.

And this picture was exactly a year ago!  Oh, how I miss those newborn baby snuggles.  Luckily Blakesley is still pretty good about snuggling.

We had Marcus' parents over this weekend to celebrate our Christmas together.  It was a very nice time together, having our first official Christmas celebration in our new house.

So many presents!!

Trying to get a picture isn't easy these days!

Trying to teach B how to open gifts!

Playing with T!

Thanks, Sarah, for the matching Christmas pjs!

A favorite!

Blakesley's favorite gift was a new toothbrush!

Sonoma got a knitting kit!

I think Cora is showing off her new Garmin Vivofit she got.  Both of the girls got Garmin watches that also track all of their activities and chores.  Marcus and I track it all on our iPhones. Super cool present!

Making gingerbread boys and girls!  They were so good.  I cannot stop eating them.  Help!

On Sunday, Cora and Blakesley stayed back with Grandma and T while Marcus and I took Sonoma to her gymnastics meet in Franklin.  It was a long, late night , but Sonoma did great!

Sonoma placed 15th all around and got a medal this meet so she was super excited!

DeVeau's placed 1st overall as a team
