We started potty training with Sonoma a couple of months ago ( she asked us ), but then all of a sudden she lost complete interest and has wanted nothing to do with the potty since. However, a little over a week ago, she took interest again and has been doing AWESOME! The above picture is her sticker chart, and she gets a sticker and an M&M every time she uses the potty. I honestly wasn't ready to dive into potty training before the baby arrives, but I am so proud of Sonoma and I'll be happy when this stage is all over :)
Tonight, Sonoma was drawing on her chalkboard, and told us she was going to draw a happy face - and then did so right in front of us:
| Maybe this is a good sign she will inherit her Daddy's fantastic art skills! |
Sonoma started her third and last PDO Summer Camp - "Under the Sea." She was SO excited to go back to camp this morning. She woke up and told me, "Mommy, miss my friends. Miss my friends." It's really wonderful to see her so happy when she goes to camp and when she comes home later that day.
The heat is still brutal, so we are trying to keep as cool as possible, and that is including lots of ice cream this summer!
We spent the weekend finishing house chores and projects that have been on my to-do list before the baby arrives. I even packed my hospital bag! We went to the farm for pizza with the Potereks on Friday night, and spent the rest of the weekend bike riding, walking and swimming. We have also spent a lot of time conducting babysitter interviews. Two of our babysitters moved away, so we have had to start from scratch. It's been a long process, but so far, we have found some great girls and we are excited to have them sit for us and hopefully grow with our family.
