Last night we went to our first Kane County Cougars Baseball game, which just so happened to be Sonoma's very first baseball game experience! I'm glad we started with the Minor Leagues. Maybe in a few years we can try a Major League game ;) Sonoma definitely had a blast, and Daddy got a workout by running up and down the big hill chasing after her the whole night. It was great to sit out in the lawn with our chairs and blankets, so the kiddos could run around and play. Sometimes too much freedom is not the best for Sonoma though!
My friend Sarah organized the evening and got tickets for a whole group of us and our kids, which was such a wonderful way to spend a Sunday night.
Sonoma had a blast dancing to the music, watching a little bit of baseball, eating classic ballgame concessions, playing with her friends and running away from Mommy and Daddy. She did, however, use the potty at the ballpark, which made me really happy! I think what made me the proudest though, was when the National Anthem came on and Sonoma stopped what she was doing, stood still as a mouse, and placed her hand on her heart. It was the best.
