Happy Monday!

The time has come....I am officially on my own.  Marcus was working downtown today, all of the family members have come and gone, and it's just me, Sonoma, Cora and Dixie all alone in our house!  The day actually went pretty well.  I managed to get my shower in, have a quick outing with the girls ( just to pick up lunch ! ) I did a few loads of laundry and I am in the middle of cooking my first real meal post-baby, packing Sonoma's lunch for tomorrow AND blogging, which actually sounds pretty productive now that I type it all out.  Oh, and I also remembered to let Dixie outside a few times ;)  Sonoma continues to throw more tantrums and act out, but we are hoping it will pass with time as she adjusts to her new life and new little sister.  Despite the acting out, she has actually been really helpful with Cora.  She will gladly go and get me blankets, pillows or burpcloths as I need them, and she is always the first to run to Cora when she is crying to see what's wrong.

Cora continues to give us a 5 hour stretch every night and today she woke up in the morning after Sonoma did, so I was able to be with Sonoma during breakfast before I had to feed Cora.  Marcus definitely deserves an award for being such a great Dad through this newborn stage all over again!  Every night he wakes up with Cora and changes her diaper, swaddles her up and rocks her before I have to nurse her.  And then, when she is finished nursing, if I am not able to rock her back to sleep, Marcus will gladly take over so I can get back to sleep myself.  How great is that?!?  

Marcus took the double stroller out for its first run with the both of the girls this weekend.  He survived and got a great workout too!

I was able to attend my first DAR meeting of the year while Daddy watched the girls.  

Let's hope the rest of the week goes as smoothly as today did.  Wishful thinking I'm sure!
