The Past Week...

This past week flew by!  Marcus and I were downtown Tuesday-Thursday for the McDonalds All American Game & game events, so I had a mini Spring Break vacation =)

Before we left downtown, we had a busy weekend!

We colored Easter eggs!  Well, mostly Marcus and Sonoma colored eggs.

Marcus got pretty creative and even sponge painted

She can't quite be trusted with the eggs yet!

On Saturday night, Marcus and I went to an open-mic night at our neighbors' house.  Marcus was first up for karaoke and totally got the party started!

On Monday, Spring Break began and I took the girls to their friend, Landon's 1st birthday party at Build-a-Bear!  What a fun spot to have a birthday party.  The girls had a blast!  Sonoma had only been there once before, and Cora had never been.  Neither had I.

You can see Cora kissing her bear's heart here

The birthday boy and his Mama!

Bathing the bears!

The girls picked Elsa and Anna bears!  Surprising, right?!

Oh how we love Brady, Landon's older brother.  He is the sweetest boy!

Happy kiddos!

I took the girls to sit on the Easter bunny's lap after the party since we passed him on our way out of the mall.  Sadly, I do not have a picture, since the cheapest bunny photo option these days is $22!!!  Absurd!

Playing with sticks.  Real, safe, right?

Mimi arrived on Tuesday morning and then I headed into the city to meet Marcus.  The girls had a blast getting Easter gifts from Mimi and Pa and then spent the day and night playing with Mimi inside and outside.

So excited to finally get Stuffies!

The Players' Gala this year was at Union Station.  Such a classic, iconic spot to hold the event.  We had a great time and it was a wonderful event.

I had the pleasure of meeting so many inspirational people!  One of my favorites to talk to, who had the best stories - Steve Schanwald, the Executive VP of the Bulls.  He has been with them through all 6 championships, and wears all 6 rings made into a bracelet.  Being able to ask him his favorite memories and stories was truly amazing!

I also met Coach Morgan Wootten.  One of the most influential coaches in basketball and best at any level.  Coach Wooden said there was no finer coach at any level - high school, college or pro.  Such a pleasure!!

On Wednesday before the games while Marcus worked, I had the best day in downtown Chicago. It was beautiful, warm weather and I worked out, shopped on Michigan Ave, had a free pedicure at a new spa, and I totally relaxed.  It was a much needed vacation for Mama!

After my Mom left on Wednesday, Marcus' parents came up to stay with the girls.  They had a ball baking Easter treats, playing outside in the beautiful weather and getting Easter presents from Grandma and T!

When I returned home on Thursday, I met the girls and Grandma to go shopping for new clothes and shoes for the girls!  Such a great day - even in the rain!

I'm so proud of Marcus - he is doing such an incredible job at work.  He has even received two "game balls" presented to him for "truly exemplary work."  He has done an excellent job securing sponsors and sales for his events and we are ALL so proud of him.
