4 Months with Blakesley Ann!

My sweet little nugget is exiting the newborn stage and turning into a silly baby!  Blakesley continues to spread joy and love by flashing just one, little smile!

Right at 4 months, Blakesley started reaching for hanging toys and tries to bring them to her mouth.  She love sucking on her hands, fingers, carseat straps, and Sophie the giraffe toy.  She started batting her little hanging animals on her bouncy seat and it was so adorable!

Blakesley nurses about 6 times in a 24 hour period.  Usually 5 times during the day and once at night.  She still goes to bed between 6-6:30 PM as long as we are home.  Marcus has been helping out so much with gymnastics practice pick ups and being out late at night with the girls if I have to get home to put Blakesley to sleep.  She never wakes up to eat before 1:00 or 2:00 AM, and then she usually is starving so eats a "full meal" and falls right back asleep.  She then wakes up anytime between 5-7 AM.  If she wakes up around 5 or 6, she nurses and falls right back asleep until 8:00 am unless I have to wake her sooner.  Last night she slept 6:30-3:00, ate, and then I had to wake her up at 7:30 to take the girls to school.  It was a great night!

Blakesley refuses the bottle.  Marcus even tried a few bottles over the weekend and she wants absolutely nothing to do with them.  She won't even put them near her mouth.  She screams and cries and pushes it away.

Blakesley gained 2 lbs and grew 2 inches in the last 2 months.  She weighs 12 pounds 3.2 oz and is 24.5 inches long.  Blakesley still has a few pieces of black umbilical cord in her belly button, and it's a tiny reminder of just how brand new to this world she really still is.  I absolutely love, love love this infant stage and wish I could freeze time.  She is a bundle of joy and absolutely adorable.  Yes, I am tired, but this stage is truly my favorite!
Love having Blakesley here this Christmas time.  She LOVES looking at the Christmas trees

This picture makes me melt!  She loves snuggling between my neck and chest.

She loves looking in the mirror!

Wearing my baby Christmas hat

Blakesley kicks NON-STOP.  Especially her right leg.  It is always, always moving!

Blakesley's 1st trip to Santaland

Blakesley sleeps in her moses basket next to our bed.  She always sleeps with her head turned all the way to the side, usually the left side.

She started sitting in the bumbo!
