Christmas 2016

Christmas Eve we decorated cookies, watched Home Alone and went to the 3:10 church service.  After church we came home and cooked dinner.  

Tradition of reading The Night Before Christmas.  This was Blakesley's 1st time reading it.

The girls had set out their cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer, and we tucked them into bed.  Shortly after we heard Sonoma yell, "Hurry everyone come to my room there are carolers!"  We ran upstairs to her room, opened the windows and sure enough there were about 20 people with lights caroling in our front yard!  The sweet thing is, that Cora has been obsessed with carolers all Christmas season, asking if anyone would carol at our house or if we could go caroling sometime.  The look on her face was absolutely priceless and precious!  They sang songs for us and the girls belted out the words and sang along from Sonoma's bedroom window.  They even ran a bag of treats up to our door!  It was a moment I will always remember!

Santa came!

Cora received the one thing she asked for - a real violin!  She was ecstatic!

The girls received lots of accessories and clothes for their American Girls, Wellie Wishers and Bitty Baby.  The girls also got walkie talkies which were a huge hit!

It was a beautiful, chaotic Christmas mornings.  After presents and stockings and then more presents and Blakesley's stocking once she woke up, we had cinnamon rolls and breakfast casserole.

And Sonoma made us a beautiful ornament with snowmen made out of her fingerprints!!

Grandma and T came over at noon to celebrate with us!  They brought lots of wonderful presents for all of us!

Christmas Dinner 

The next day the girls baked gingerbread men with Grandma and then went to see the movie SING with Grandma and T while Daddy and I took down decorations and cleaned the house.

The girls got their very own sewing kits for Christmas
