Cora is officially TWO years old today and has such a strong-willed, confident, spunky personality. She knows exactly what she wants, and loves trying to keep up with her older sister! You can catch her dancing anytime a song comes on, and you can catch her singing Disney tunes, especially something from Frozen. "LET IT GO!!!" Cora's favorite colors are pink and purple, and she loves anything Minnie or Mickey Mouse. She can name almost all of the Disney princesses, and is fabulous at naming animals. She will try to repeat any word you ask her to say, and her vocabulary grows by leaps and bounds daily. She is getting better at using her manners and we are still working on putting together full sentences.
Cora is still my excellent sleeper. Loves nap time and sleeps anywhere from 2-3 hours. She loves going to bed at night and sleeps over 12 hours. She only takes her pacifier during sleep time in her crib, and still carries Coffee the Mouse around everywhere (except into stores or outside places....he takes naps in the car).
Cora is very excited to start gymnastics tomorrow, and is extremely active and always wants to play outside. She loves going to the Zoo and Blackberry Farm, or anywhere that has animals! You can find her dressing up as soon as she finishes breakfast and this will last all day, usually with a huge fight to get out of her PJS and tutu. "Mommy, play tu-tus PLEASE!!" is what I hear first thing in the morning as she races up the stairs to play dress up. She also loves to read books, play Little People, My Little Ponies, and loves to build block towers.
She has already entered the "Terrible Twos" and I'm getting use to the tantrums. Hopefully we will turn a corner with some of the fits soon? Even so, she is still super sweet and cuddly, and will spontaneously give out hugs and kisses which totally makes me melt.
In honor of Cora's birthday, the girls had a little photo shoot yesterday in the backyard:
Cora had her two year check-up last week and her last shot until Kindergarten. She is 2' 8.5" (13%) and 25 lbs (47%). Healthy as can be!
