Wow, is it really already Wednesday night?! Sometimes the days seem sooo long, but the weeks and months end up flying by. #lifeofamom
Here's what we've been up to lately:
| Sonoma had a birthday party over the weekend, so Marcus, Cora and I went to Blackberry Market in Glen Ellyn. What a great spot! |
| My friend, Sarah, texted me a few pictures of the girls at Charlotte's birthday party. It was a pajama and pancakes theme - so cute! |
| Sonoma made cards for all of us the other day. This one she made for Dixie and set it up by her food and water bowls, which I found adorable. You see, the other animal next to Dixie is a cat. She said Dixie and the cat were trained to get along and they never fight :) I also found "Cat" written on her birthday list in her room. |
| Saturday late afternoon was warm enough for a family run! |
Marcus was getting together with some of the neighborhood guys on Saturday night and I went in our closet while he was finishing his shower. I found two super dressy outfits all laid out with shoes and belts. I asked him why he was dressing up and why he laid out clothes for me, considering I wasn't going anywhere. Sonoma then ran in and said she had picked out our clothes for church the next day! Haha, I was dying!
| *I did not wear the skirt or shoes to church, but I did take Sonoma's advice and wore the long sweater ;) |
| On Sunday morning I walked in Sonoma's room and found Cora and Sonoma in her bed reading books together. It was SO sweet. |
| Sonoma and I went to see "Cinderella" over the weekend. It is a MUST SEE movie. Such an amazing message, and it is slightly different from the original. I loved it and cried so many different times. Sonoma loved it, and we both were obsessed with the gorgeous costumes. I can't wait to see it again! |
Monday was pretty terrible - we had a SNOW STORM. It was probably the worst driving conditions of the entire season for me. I still got Sonoma to preschool (late) and luckily Cora and I made it to our special event for the morning. We went to the cookies and milk storytime with our local librarian at Panera. It's such a fun event and I remember taking Sonoma when she was Cora's age. It made Cora feel special since she didn't get to go to the movie.
Cora is so great at playing by herself when I have to clean and get work done. I cleaned all of the bathrooms on Monday, and this is what Cora was doing!
| She put all of her "sick" animals in green trays and sent them off to the vet. |
Sonoma cried that it was snowing, Cora cried to go play in the snow (which I did NOT allow - I'm so tired of snow gear!) and Dixie was just plain miserable trying to sift her
way through 4 inches of snow to go to the bathroom.
Yesterday both of the girls started a new gymnastics session, and Cora was excited to be back in action after a break. We came home and practiced more gymnastics then decided to have a royal ball. The girls picked out a long fancy dress from my closet and we all danced together.
