Marcus' parents planned a special Mommy Daughter weekend in Bloomington for me and Sonoma. This is the trip we were supposed to take the end of January, but that is when we got our huge blizzard. We were able to reschedule everything for this past weekend and we had a great time! Sonoma and I left Friday for the 5 hour drive back to Indiana and had a fun time in the car.
Sonoma and I needed two things during our trip: Starbucks and Taylor Swift. Easy enough!
On Friday night my parents came out to the Fischers' house and we all had a nice dinner together.
Sonoma had fun playing dress up, making stain glass window hangers with Grandma and building an awesome train set with Grandma and T!
The main event of the weekend was taking Sonoma to her first IU Men's Basketball game. Despite the fact that they lost and had a pretty terrible season, Sonoma and I had the BEST time! She loved every minute of the game, the band, the cheerleaders, and even started asking me tons of questions about the game. She did a great job of keeping up with the score and score board. She went from not wanting to cheer or clap, to yelling out random "IU WIN!" and "GO IU!" It reminded me of when I was little, going to most of the IU games with my Dad!

| This picture was from November of 2010 when I took Sonoma to Assembly Hall for the first time. It was a Women's Basketball game to watch Auntie K cheer. |

| And almost five years later, here we are again, heading to Assembly Hall for a Men's Basketball game. |

Marcus' parents are friends with Nick Zeisloft's parents ( Nick is one of the IU players.) The Zeislofts were the ones who gave the tickets to me and Sonoma. Since we were sitting with all of the players' families, we got the whole VIP experience after the game. It had been many years since I had stepped foot on the court and had been a cheerleader there back in my college days. It was so fun and special being back with Sonoma. And we appreciated how sweet the Zeislofts and Grandma and T were to do all of this for us!

Oh how I love this picture!!
After the game and a yummy dinner at the Fischers, I met one of my good girlfriends from High School for a bit. It was really nice to catch up with her! On Sunday before we left town we visited with my Grandma. These visits with Sonoma are so special and Grandma and Sonoma even sang together this time.
Thank you so much T and Grandma for a really special weekend with Sonoma!
On the drive home, Sonoma watched the new Barbie Super Hero movie that Mimi bought her. She got a super hero mask and wore it the whole trip!
She even fell asleep with it on her head! Ha!
And what did Cora and Daddy do while we were away? They had a really fun time together too. Marcus did a great job of making Cora feel special, since she was a little sad that Sonoma and I left together on Friday morning. Daddy took her to Chickfila, Oberweis, The Dollar Store for a new puzzle, shopping at Target, the Pet Store and Church. She called us a couple of times and was always in a great mood!!!
This picture of Cora roaming Target, not in a cart, gives me anxiety!
Every picture Marcus sent, Cora had the BIGGEST smile, which made me so happy.
Marcus texted me this picture of the family room and all the puzzles that Cora got out. Yup, typical day for me.
I'm so grateful that each of us could spend some quality one on one time with each girl. What a fantastic weekend for all!
