Happy 10th Birthday, Dixie!

Happy 10th Birthday, Dixie!  How is it possible that you are already TEN years old?  I can't believe our first baby has hit double digits.  Makes me really, really sad.  However, I am so happy that Dixie has had a WONDERFUL past ten years of life!  Marcus got Dixie back in college in Lexington, Kentucky, and I had the pleasure of meeting Dixie two years later.  Once we were married in 2005, I welcomed Dixie with open arms and she quickly became my own baby.  Dixie has lived in four states (Kentucky, Indiana, Massachusetts and Illinois ) and has lived in 7 houses.

Below are some pictures of Dixie throughout the years.  Anyone who knows Dixie or has even met her once,  knows what an amazing and special dog she truly is.  She doesn't bark ( except occasionally at the vacuum ), she can play fetch for hours and hours on end, she is a great running or walking partner, she will sit on your lap and cuddle with you for an endless amount of time, she is gentle with everyone and especially with babies and kids, and she has become one of our daughter, Sonoma's, best friends.  We are so blessed to be able to have Dixie as a part of our family and we hope we continue to have many more years and memories with her!
