Though we have been in summer mode for well over a month now, it's exciting that it's officially Summer season! We had another great, summer weekend, full of exciting activities. Friday was jam packed - swimming, a trip to the farm for pizza night, followed by going to the baseball park to watch our friend Joe's softball game. The rest of the weekend was full of biking, working out, playing outside and swimming lessons. The nursery is almost complete! Furniture and bedding have arrived, it's painted, I've washed all the clothes and blankets, and we finally washed the car seat, toys and all of the other baby gear and equipment. All we have left to do is install a ceiling fan/light and we should be good to go.

On our way Sunday to meet our new neighbors - families in both the houses across from us moved in this weekend!

I picked Sonoma up from her Farm camp this afternoon and she was wearing a little horsey visor and had also made a cow out of a white paper bag. She looked adorable:
There are a couple things lately that Sonoma says that ALWAYS make me laugh. At one point, Sonoma heard me call Dixie, "Dixie Doodle!" From then on out, Sonoma has started calling Dixie, "Dixie Doodle." She says it about a hundred times a day. It's gotten so bad that she also frequently says "Mommy Doodle" and "Daddy Doodle."
Sonoma has also started asking "Why??" I wasn't quite prepared for all the questions this little girl is asking me. I told her we had to go shopping the other day and she kept saying, "Why, Mommy, Why Shopping, Why??" And then I give an answer....and then she asks, "Why??"
One other totally sweet thing that Sonoma does is ask "What's wrong, Mommy?" if she notices that something has upset me or made me mad. It's so adorable that she is fully in tune to other people's emotions now. She really is a sweet and thoughtful little girl!
