Christmas is Coming!

I feel so blessed to be able to stay home and raise these girls, especially during the holiday season.  We have had so much fun together, learning about Christmas and just being together at home - cooking, baking and doing different activities, preparing for the fun holidays.

It doesn't matter what I am cooking - Sonoma HAS to help.  It's really cute.   And messy.

The Poterek family took us to their church's Christmas program and concert - it was so awesome!  See the acrobat on the hoop?

I promised Sonoma over a month ago that we would make a gingerbread house for Christmas.  I'll be honest, I am not a very creative person.  I really don't like arts and crafts at all ( that's all Marcus! ) but I know I need to try to do little crafts here and there with Sonoma.  I'm not sure why I wanted to tackle a gingerbread house, but it sounded good for Christmas.  I realized last week that our time was running out and I better start the gingerbread house.  It took us close to three hours and lots of instructions and online help, but we figured it out and it is one of my favorite memories with Sonoma!  She was extremely patient and very creative, showing me exactly where she wanted to put certain candies, and a lot of it she just took over and did by herself, while I had to take a break and feed Cora.  I know that we have definitely started a tradition and I can't wait to make another one next year with Cora helping too!

Sonoma was so proud of the marshmallow snow that we decided to put in front of the gingerbread house

I must admit, we ate the other gingerbread boy.  Oops!
Sonoma was not too happy Pizza stole some of our snow, but Mommy thought it was a cute scene
