| December 1st - starting her advent calendar |
As I mentioned in my previous post, we are already having so much fun this holiday season! And it's only December 2nd! I feel behind compared to most of my friends and family, who were all decorated and done shopping before Thanksgiving! Do people celebrate Christmas earlier and earlier this year?!?
Every day I am having a blast teaching Sonoma all about Christmas, and doing my best to answer her never-ending questions. She is one inquisitive little girl. She is always asking why and where and when and how. I'm shocked at how much she is really understanding about so many different things. Her memory is sharp as a tack and we can't believe some of the stuff she talks about that happened so long ago. She has been learning so much at PDO and we are starting to have actual two way, lengthy, conversations with her at the dinner table.
Today it was 66 degrees outside. Even though we had a list a mile long of things to get done, we had to take a time out and take Sonoma to the park. It was just too gorgeous to not take advantage of being outside.

Marcus and I are starting to realize with each passing day, just how crazy busy our lives are. We don't seem to have nearly enough hours in the day to get everything done that we need and want to. We have been working on Christmas decor for 7 days now, and we still aren't done! And trust me, it's nothing crazy either, pretty simple stuff. However, it's nearly impossible to get things done as planned with a toddler and a newborn who still feeds on demand. We get up at the crack of dawn, and try to stay up as late as possible to finish our to-do lists, but they are never complete. We are trying really hard to embrace the craziness and stay positive through our really sleep deprived state right now :-p
I'm hoping to fill our week with Christmas crafts, present wrapping and Christmas baking and cooking. I hope y'all are enjoying this holiday season as much as we are.
