Cora has grown up right before my eyes just in this past week! With starting to roll back and forth, both ways, last Monday, to grabbing toys last Monday, I feel like she is a whole new little person! She is still constantly laughing and smiling, and she is more distracted than ever. If we aren't feeding in a quiet, dark room, she is looking around, smiling, cooing, checking everyone out. It's so cute to watch her try to be social. She spends a lot of time doing her tummy-time/rolling on the floor, sitting in the bumbo and is on a great schedule for the days when we stay at home. The days when I am running Sonoma around are very difficult for Cora, but I'm hoping she will get a little more used to being on the go. She takes three naps a day ( an hour and a half after she wakes up, at noon, and one long late afternoon nap.) She is still sleeping in her moses basket, and we are in no hurry to move her to the crib. I remember with Sonoma I was always so anxious for the next stage, but not with this baby! She can sleep in that cute, cuddly basket for as long as she wants. No, seriously though, we will probably transition her to her crib after the holidays and after we host family and have company staying with us. Cora is still exclusively nursing, and she nurses 5-6 times a day. Lately, she is sleeping from 7:30 at night until 5:00 in the morning, eats, and then goes back down until 7:30 am.
She had her 4 month doctor's visit and shots yesterday, and boy was that tough. She was hysterical from the moment the nurse touched her head to measure it! She is definitely a sensitive little baby and she got so scared by the nurse and doctor touching her. It warmed my heart to see Sonoma hold Cora's hand throughout all of her shots.
4 month stats:
11 pounds, 12 ounces
22 3/4 inches tall
All is good with Cora and her health. I'm really in no rush to start cereal and add one more mess to the day, ha! :) I will probably wait a couple months before introducing cereal and foods.
Happy baby!
So much for leaving her on the floor and sneaking off to the laundry room! She rolled so many times she got stuck under the foot stool.
Her eyelashes are growing!
